Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to climb up the charts. The sci-fi blockbuster made $31.4 million at the domestic box office Monday, bringing its North American total to $574.1 million, according to .
If it hits $600 million (and that’s just about guaranteed to happen), it will become just the fifth movie ever to reach that mark domestically. Others include The Avengers ($623.4 million), Jurassic World ($652.3 million), Titanic ($658.7 million), and Avatar ($760.5 million).
Globally, The Force Awakens has now passed $1.16 billion.
That puts it at the No. 10 spot on the all-time top-grossing chart. It has now passed a handful of juggernauts, including Transformers: Age of Extinction ($1.1 billion), Skyfall ($1.11 billion),The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.12 billion), Transformers: Dark of the Moon ($1.124 billion), and Minions ($1.157 billion). And this is after just two weeks for The Force Awakens.
