Following the less-than-positive response to previous changes to experience gains from World of Warcraft: Legion’s Demon Invasions, Blizzard took another look at the event and made further changes to experience gains. Whereas players were previously earning much more experience than intended, the last round of changes saw players receiving much less experience than intended due to several bugs. Community Manager Ornyx took to the forums last night to explain that a small hotfix patch with the following changes is expected to go live sometime today.
- Fixed a bug that could reduce the amount of XP a player received when more than 6 players were attacking it.
- Fixed a bug that could reduce the amount of XP a player received from creatures that scale with the number of attackers.
These changes should fix issues with high level players ruining the amount of experience earned by other players when they tag mobs. However, it remains to be seen whether that alone will be enough to assuage players’ concerns.
